    You don't need the L brackets. It's just extra bolting. I ran mine for a year before I finally fabbed the L brackets. I have never seen a hitch with so many bolts ! The factory hitch is crazy strong. I called the dealer to try and buy the L brackets and they were not available. In fact they told me the hitch is only available on a new truck with the tow package. image.jpg
