I have the platinum 100k. I stole it from the stealership when negotiating my cash sale in 2010. Get the factory platinum one and don't pay more than 500$ for it. I just got it for the electronics. I have 48k and had to use it for the blower fan only. Knock on wood.

So if nothing goes wrong with your truck you paid 500.00 for a blower fan.

Actually I don't know what I paid for the ew. Lol. I paid 27,500 OTD cash for a loaded 2010 Trd sport with alarm, factory leather, and ew. Sticker was 28.5k with no extras. I crack up at the 38.5 sticker on 15 for basically same truck. They will try to sell you ew for $1500. And the blower fix was about $200

Had it... tried making 2 claims against it. Both denied. Got a prorated refund. Waste of money for me. Had the platinum 100k warranty. Tried replacing my driver seat when i had lumbar support issues. Due to the price tag of a new seat they sent someone from corp toyota to inspect it further, who denied it. Also tried replacing my burnt up headlights before the tsb came out for it. That was also denied. Appealed it with corporate, still lost.

How hard is it to swap out the LCA's? My ball joints might be bad and I was thinking of just upgrading to Total Chaos LCA's.

    Thanks guys

Some BS and sorry to hear! When i bought my Tacoma brand new back in 2012 the finance manager got upset that i chose not to get an extended warranty and actually started to show anger towards me.I was actually frustrated and kinda laughed at him.He asked me what was so funny and i told him he was because he wasn't going to get an additional comission off of me and good luck with the next purchaser because of the way he treated me with no respect after spending my hard earned money for my new Tacoma.I knew going in that i could get an extended warranty later on if i chose to at probably a lower quote.

I've never been a warranty type of guy. I'm good at voiding them anyways, lol. Even that gap insurance is bs I think.

Navar PM'd me earlier about these. But each truck is a different monster for the install. Mine went pretty smooth. I'll be doing an install of them for another TW member soon...so we'll see how that goes.

I got the extended, helped with changing of the lights, the rear leaf springs car rental and a radiator temp sensor. Also got a free alignment. Not sure if that was because of the warranty though.

Hey guys, need some opinions... November is right around the corner and I have almost 2 weeks off for some unused vacation time. In the middle of that block of time, I have a wedding to attend up north in Modesto. The original plan was to attend the wedding, then spend the following week over in Yosemite for some nice camping, hiking, etc. Problem is that in mid-november, only 3 campsites are open in Yosemite, 2 of which are way out of the way. That leaves only 1 campsite. Sadly enough, that 1 camp is conveniently closed during those 2 weeks for "maintenance" which busts my Yosemite plan. Id hate to waste 2 perfectly good weeks off and want to use this time to explore another area of California that offers some amazing camping during late fall early winter. Besides, I just spent $1550 on a CVT RTT and want to put it to good use. After a few minutes online, Ive found Big Sur in Los Padres, Death Valley National Park, Sequoia and/or Kings Canyon National Park, Mammoth, etc. Im not really looking to go West or South into Mojave or Joshua Tree or anything towards San Diego. I don't know exactly whats open and what isn't during that time, and I also don't know weather and road conditions. Im 2wd so need to avoid the snow if any. Anyone ever camped in any of these areas, or anything close by thats worth spending 3-4 days in? Open to suggestions and would love feedback or ideas. Thanks everyone!

Personally I'd do A Death Valley trip that time of year. Weather is much better than those other places. @ProForce

Mammoth will be very very cold at night at that time of year. Below freezing at night. It's all ready hitting 30's at night now. Beautiful place though with lots to see and do!!
