    That is my only option.

I have a "guy", but he always stuggles to get the NOX low enough for long enough.

As far as I know, if it doesn't pass most shops will charge you for a repair like a oxygen sensor or such. Which signals to the state that your at least trying to fix it and they let it pass, then you get at least 2 years of reprieve.

It is an 85. Things are a bit different pre-OBD2.

It is actually NOx, which is generic for nitrogen oxides.

Apparently it has to do with really hot temps in the engine. Try cleaning or fixing the egr valve system. Or lower engine temps

I might just try sea foam. I have a gallon that I have yet to open after a year.

No egr, hence the smog guy.

Ah. That no egr is a bitch. I know mine might go see my "smog guy" too for no cat. The thing I like about him, don't have to even leave my house
 What's up Harley? Haven't talked to you in awhile. Ever get that 4x4 you were talking about?

2016 yamaha yxz 1000r width the 5speed. Got a cage, 5pt harnesses, wheels, tires, resprung and revalved shocks, reflashed ecu with custom fuel map, billet goodies here and there, 40" rigid light bar.... blah blah blah. It's fun. Screenshot_20180104-213353.jpg

The Yamaha would be the only acceptable sxs for me. They are fun, but I feel like sxs's in general are lacking a soul. I like trucks for rock crawling. Even in glamis, there is no finesse to it with cvt. There is a different connection when you have a manual trans and clutching with purpose when pickin a line on rocks.

Agreed. Its not the quickest, and a lack of 4low means it sucks in the climbing areas, but 80mph across the desert is still 80mph. It keeps up with almost anything and the fact that its a 5speed and 3cyl with a 11,000 rpm redline is just plain ol fun. And it was cheap compared to the other toys out now. And reliable. Ive literally had nothing break since i got it (october '16) only serviced it once per the manual (huge intervals) and ive beat the piss out of it.

    Nice. Enjoy it man
I'm kind of on the same opinion but I also wouldn't say no to one either. I just like being in a bigger, windowed vehicle myself

High-speed romping through the desert is different than what I do in my truck. A sxs would shine there straight from the showroom floor. But, I also like the idea of building a decent pre-runner for less and upgrade/fix as I go.
