    I can appreciate now that its not only asians as there were mexicans in groups huddled around playing cards and drinking boba. I was like, WTF!


    I grew up in Pasadena where my HS had no asians and a few whites, but I'd travel down south to visit some friends from time time. The culture shock would completely flip a 180.

    I appreciated it as I got to mix in with all races but I couldn't imagine going to schools like Alhambra, Arcadia, Temple City, San Gabriel, etc. . .
