    I followed the DIY to the T, except for one minor detail. I didn't lay it on a cookie sheet and the metal contact caused it to melt. I have 3 sets of lights so it wasn't a huge loss, but now I know what needs to be done. Already got one of them open, ready to go.

    Shit happens to all of us. Though I used cardboard underneath the lights at 270 degrees for 8 minutes on mine....no issues thankfully.

    Yep. Gonna go for round two tomorrow and hopefully get it right. The dremeling and siliconing to keep it airtight is what I have fear of. I just don't want it to leak.

    You can just keep adding silicone to the outside if there are issues...another thing I had to do ;)
