Honestly I just put something reflective on my dash to pick up the color of the lights. Works ok. I'd still buy my truck again. One of the smoothest 4wd Io's I've ever used in an MT.

6'4 / 285lbs, 34-35" inseam with no major issues. I agree with everyone else though, the way you're proportioned will matter. I actually test drove 5-6 different 3rd gens with both cab configurations as well as with/without sunroof before buying mine. Highly suggest test driving one or more to be sure you're comfortable.

If OP wasn't aware, sunroof lowers headroom.

It lowers it in a strange way though. Do you sit more upright or more reclined when you drive? I think that’s a huge factor...

I sit pretty far back so I can hide behind the B-pillar. All the way down, all the way back, reclined. Like the “large car” drivers

I'm 6' with a 30" inseam. I could not do the moonroof in the seating position I'm comfortable with. Had minimal headroom with normal driving. A trip off road would of had me bashing the left side of my head repeatedly. Wanted one in the worst way, but just couldn't do it. Kept trying to talk myself into it, but in the end reason ruled the day.

Less headroom in mine even without the moonroof than my Gen1 has, by about an inch, as scientifically verified and measured with the fist over the head method.... :D

I'm 6'3" 300+ pounds, long torso, short (32" inseam) legs and no moon roof, I fit good and find the seats to be very comfortable.

It's an upper torso thing. The headrest is useless to me and I don't find the backrest comfortable at all. But that's most likely because I hold good posture and keep my backrest more upright .

Again, nothing that would keep me from buying the truck. It's not terrible. Just things I've noticed with as many road trips as I've done.

6'3" 260lbs and I have 2 inches of headroom with sunroof and room to move the seat back a bit. I do keep the seat leaned back though.

If you don't fit well in an FJ, you likely wont love the tacoma. They are similar but I'd say the FJ has more room and much more adjustment.

I'm 6'4" @ 272#, I have zero problems. The 3rd gen interior is the best interior yet. I bought a new 2015 and hated the interior space.

i was wondering what to do since i really want the ventilation from it, but i was getting a Pro and no moonroof option. i found that the electric sliding rear glass is just right, and the added roof space without the moonroof is great and i prefer it. get a '17. the 16's don't have standard electric rear glass.

i do find the stock seats uncomfortable for me, so i modified the seat bottom to drop my seating position, and that helped with comfort a lot. if you feel the high flat seating position is weird on your test drive, remember that you can do something about that.

6'4" 250 lb. Test drove a sunroof equipped Tacoma and was tight as far as headroom. Ended up buying one without for that extra inch. Only thing is I have to enter the vehicle a bit differently than some vehicle I have owned in the past. Sorta tight getting in, but it took all of a day to get used to it. Plenty of headroom now. Normal sized people don't think about the same things people our size do lol. Vehicles, airplane seats, old antique chairs, beds and the list goes on.

I keep hearing about a telescoping steering wheel. Is this just in some trims? I can't find the lever to telescope mine.

I'm 6'3" and don't have enough headroom in a sunroof equipped truck, but fine without.

Release the tilt lever, and then push or pull straight in or out...hard. It's usually stiff. I think it's on all the trims.

Sorry you've suffered so long not knowing about this adjustability.

YMMV, but I'm 6'4" with a 32" inseam and I am just barely comfortable in my Tacoma 6MT without a Sunroof. Test drove one with a sunroof and had to tilt my head . In all honesty, we just got my wife a 2014 T4R SR5, and it is amazingly comfortable for someone with a long torso like mine. Awesome head room, awesome leg room, and I actually can pull the seat up a couple inches and still have room. I might be able to even fit in a 4Runner with a sunroof. I'll also second the sentiment on Subarus. Only comfortable cars I've ever driven.

6'3 and no headroom issues. Only complaint I have is the steering wheel seems a little far away when I have my seat as far back as I like it.

Just noticed there's a lot of 6'4" Tacoma Owners on this forum, the giants are taking over...:transformer:
