6'6" here and there is adequate room at best. It's a small truck. My head is about 1 1/2" from the roof and I have the sun roof. Everyone says the seat is too low. In my opinion it's too high. Dame taller guys have spent $200ish and had some foam shaved off the seat for added comfort and a little more headroom. I have not done this but I plan on it. With the seat all the way back, the steering wheel is more of a reach that I would prefer. But my daily driver is a BMW where I'm practically sitting on the floor and everything is adjustable. IL think you'll fit in the Tacoma, but you won't have a lot of extra room.

OH .... I fit very well in the FJ, and I love the FJ. We are considering trading for the Tacoma because I need the rear open bed more than I need the FJ.

6'4 and have no complaints. Yes the seat is back farther meaning less room for passengers in the back but the position I have it in is pretty relaxed. I usually bring up the seat to accommodate tall passengers. Not that big of a deal. Do go to the dealership and test drive tho.

proportions matter. I'm 6'3" and I don't fit in any Tacoma's with a moonroof, I only have about 1" clearance in my non-moonroof taco. But I actually have short legs for a tall guy, my height is from my long torso, sounds like you have longer legs. So depends on how you get your height :)

First, thank you for all the responses.

We visited a Toyota dealer day. I sat behind the steering wheel of 2017 Taco with a Moon roof. "REJOICE .... I fit". no issues. I fit just like I did in the 2000 Pre-Runner back in the day. A 2017 Limited Barcelone Red is on the way.... THANK AGAIN

I'm 6'1 and I ordered one without the moonroof because my head was close to touching the headliner. I've had a couple of vehicles with a moonroof and the sunshade stayed closed on them 90% of the time so it wasn't a big deal for me.

I'm 6'3" and posted similar concerns here as my torso caused cabin height issues and I wanted the tech package and open sky option. I was originally PO'd there was no seat height adjustment until people here pointed out the seats were already as low as possible to the floorboards.

I went back to the dealership and adjusted my seat back and found I just had to adjust my seat angle. My wife rolls her eyes but it works for me. If I lean left my head still touches the sunroof frame padding but after 7 weeks I've learned not to do that.

As others have pointed out this isn't exclusive to Tacos. Man there were some great pictures of heads sticking out sunroofs in my post :D

6'4", 36 inseam, DCSB with moon roof. No issues. Maybe barely a little at first, bus as the seat broke down a little never had a problem.

I ordered my 16 Tacoma TRD OR without the sunroof. I feel more secure having a complete roof overhead, should I ever roll this truck over.

DCLB without sunroof and I fit fine.

I test drove a limited at the dealer when I bought my truck and did notice my head was real close to the sunroof but still manageable.

First off ..... Thanks to all for the posts. "Most" posts were very informative and helps.

My new 2017 Tacoma Limited (Barcelona Red) is now under the carport. If this truck serves us as well as the 2000 PreRunner (14 years) was, I'm good to go.....

Pictures one day soon. Hurricane Harvey is dumping on us as I time.

I'm 6'4" and could not take the moon roof. My hair constantly brushed against it and it drove me crazy.
