Gotta let my baby go after 31 years. Not sure what I will replace it with yet. Really need to consider something that can haul a wheel chair and is good on gas like a RAV4 ,CRV or CX5. This will be a long term investment so what ever I buy will either be new or with very low miles and Japanese.
I have been offered $14000(low baller) and $17500 recently. Also offered a 72 F100 and $4000. Had hoped to get $19000-$20000.
Hate letting it go but it just sits in the garage most of the time these days. I drive it to work once a week. Its won around 50 trophies but I lost interest in shows and cruises and preferred to spend time with my family instead. It is still a very nice solid 65 Ford Galaxie 500 that still presents itself very well. Its possible but I doubt you will find any 65s nicer. The 289 - 4, TCI C4 and Richmond 3.26 rear end only has 6000 miles. The body has 145000 miles. I just took about 70 pictures of the car including underneath. Its originally out of North Carolina and it has only been caught in the rain twice all the years I have owned it. Its never seen Ohio snow or salt. Pictures are with skirts and with out. Car is located near Akron Ohio.Galxie 500 016.jpg Galxie 500 032.jpg

If this was 5 years in the past or future, I’d be an interested buyer. Good looking car, GLWS.

Go for a test drive in a RAV4. Take a wheelchair with you. I have limited experience hauling a wheelchair (for my father). Larger vehicles were better. However, if the vehicle was too high getting him in and out was a problem.

    Seriously nice car.

A number of years ago I went to a wedding. Father of the bride lent his G-500 as the honeymoon/getaway vehicle. Custom dark blue metallic flake with white ragtop and white leather interior.

Wedding planner had all guests raise sparklers overhead while bride and groom drove away underneath outstretched arms. And also hot ash.

I never felt so bad for another man before. Poor bastard was about to cry, and it had nothing to do with giving his daughter away.

Good luck, I've always wanted one of those.
