Just installed the Spec-D Retro Projector Headlights in my 2013 Taco. My previous lights were the cool blue 6500k. But I can’t find 6500k bulbs anywhere that will fit in the housing. I’ve checked a handful of sites and scoured Amazon. Any suggestions?

I think you're going to find that no matter what you do, you will have inferior lighting - compared to OEM - with those aftermarket housings. No "brighter" bulb is going to overcome inferior optics - which those housings happen to feature. What the best possible lighting in a 2nd Gen truck?

Want lights that look cool, performance be dammed? You're on your own and good luck.

Weird, because I found a set that fits and they are significantly brighter. No blind spots and the projector cut off is perfect. My OEM lights were in pretty bad shape. So this is quite the upgrade. No dammed performance and boy oh boy do they look cool....

FYI 6500K is going to diminish your ability to make things out at night... while they might look "cool" they are in fact inferior to something down in a warmer temp.

I wish those colors were illegal. and actually enforced the law.

Those of us punished by having you coming toward us with those *damned* blue lights would like to have them banned and enforced. The human eye loses sensitivity in the blue end of the spectrum, so your bright lights are actually doing you a disservice.
    nd4spdbh had it right!

Get OEM headlight housings and them retrofitted to run HID or LED projectors. That is the PROPER way to get A. visibility and B. Not flipped off by every person in front and behind your truck as you drive.

The reason why your setup is illegal is because they blind the everloving life out of everyone, including seniors which have a longer visibility to light recovery time, increasing the likely hood of a crash either to them and yourself or both.

I don't have much else to contribute outside of that. Get rid of the housings is the best I can tell you.

You guys are so right, your advice and opinions have completely changed my mind. If I change the housing I guess I wouldn’t have to drive around with my brights on all the time too :dancingbacon: Everybody wins
