    On the positive side.
    Due to the COVID I got help to figure out a repeater system for camp. I got 6 baofeng radios all decked out.

    I decided next year we fundraise for The SanG restoration. I will be contacting FR to get any paperwork filled out. They are going to need help. I hope it’s open next year. Nothing is given.

    So I have 2 positives out of this I’m sure I can find more.

    I hope you guys are willing to help restore the beauty and magic in San G. We are going to need help.

    I made my reservations just as this pandemic started. Then I found out about the Tacoma meetup, which was just gravy. I really hope all the responders stay safe and they get the fire under control.

    I’ve only been out with my truck and camping a few times this year. Several times I have been asked to leave or told the area was not open. One time I was in the Anza Borrego desert, stayed the night, and the next afternoon the Ranger appeared asking me to leave. It was a 100+ degrees, there was only couple of RVs in sight, with the closest one over ¼ mile and away. Seriously?

    So I’m headed to San Giogornio on the 23rd. If this works out, I hope to meet some of you there. By the time I get near the Redlands/San Bernardino I’ll see if I still want to go there. If not I’m headed up to 40 and over to Coconino National Forest.

    @ClintS the campground is near the fire it may be on fire. We cancelled the event this morning.
    Some of the guys might still be camping in Johnson valley. Ask around. But I doubt SanG will be open.
