Looks like a lot of people made it out! Maybe I can try for next year. I was just too busy to make the drive from Dallas this time. More pictures!!

Okay well ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for an amazing weekend. I say next year we use access 6 and still drive down to mile marker 2 or 3.

Here is a helpful tip. When leaving South Padre Island and head back north to Dallas and you get stopped at the Border Patrol check point. They will ask you if everyone in the vehicle is a US citizen the correct answer is yes. The incorrect answer is yea but we are not sure about the 2 hitch hikers in the bed.

Needless to say i am guessing the border patrol ripped that DB F150 apart looking for anything to cite them on. As we where leaving they had the driver and passengers in handcuffs laying on the ground.

The goal for this trip was to have a blast explore some areas I have always wanted to go see and to roll into work exhausted, sunburn, and smiling. I doubt I will be smiling but I had a blast. I think next year my girl and I are going to plan to camp and fish down at the cut or at least near it.

    Thanks again everyone.

I call mine a mall crawler as its over built for what I need it to do 90% of the time but it's that 10% that I need all my toys to make sure I get home. I will say I really wanted to go play with the 1st Gen and FJ but I did not want to have to limp a wounded truck all the way back to Dallas. Hopefully next year I will be long travel and all gusseted up front. Then I can go play with the above 50mph crew....

I hope some one got pics or dash video of the dipshittery on the way to the cut.

I got a lil bit of video of it, but it's nothing like it was in person. I have to say that was my first test of my Fox set up and I literally had my brother falling asleep in the back seat on the way back from the cut lol. it was too fun, already looking forward to next year.

I don't mind driving thru access 5 again, but I also think we should drive all the way to access six and go pass mile marker 3 or 4. My brother and I drive to like marker 6 and it was the best view ever.. This way we don't get people crashing out parking area. image.jpg

Not sure what his user name was but I asked him n he said he didn't know. He got the truck like that. It is really nice though.

I believe he told me that he got it at a dealership in Victoria, I believe they sell lifted trucks there. They use rough country 3" front 2" in back. Truck looked good.
