    Thank you for the correction

Are there any mass recalls vehicles from either plant though?

I know there was air pump recall on the GX . And there was a recall on the first year of the GX because of a stability control software issue.

there is also a common coolant leak on the Valley plate for the V8.

there was also a emissions related issue with the Diesel Prado.

nothing to the scale of some of the recalls I’ve seen on the new tundra and 3rd gen Tacoma

It would be difficult to make any good comparison without data that the public just doesn't have. A design issue is likely to present at all plants, unless it is only exposed due to variations in process. A process issue is more likely to present at specific plants than a design issue for sure.

There are far more Tundras and Tacomas sold than LX600s, and the typical Tundra or Tacoma owner is probably younger and will have a larger online presence.

All of those things taken into account, even if the LCs were having higher failure rates than Tundras and Tacomas, you'd still hear way more about issues on the Tacoma and Tundra.

If 5th Gen 4R came with a manual and I didn’t need a truck bed, I would be shooting the shit on the 4R forums.

I’m one of those people that simply refuses to drive an AT vehicle. I find them extremely boring.

Was cool seeing that 4G taco still comes with a manual. No way I’m getting one though. My truck is paid off and I’ve only got 35k miles, I’m keeping it till it disintegrates.

Prices of new vehicles are absolutely insane. I’m so glad I’m not in the market for one.

Same. I’m surrounded by mountains, rivers and a ton of lakes. Can’t wait to go fishing!

My dad gifted me his boat, it’s a bit ugly but fish don’t care. Got an 9.8HP outboard for it as well:

Couldn't agree more, both my cars are manual and my wife refuses to drive them LOL. Until I need more truck or it makes more sense to go EV, I'll be driving stick. Which will probably be till my frame rusts out.

I can only recall driving 1 gas turbo car with a manual. It could have all been in my head, I liked how the normally aspirated gas engines shifted more. It was an AWD which could have been part of it. Something about the turbo lag, and boost pressure, I never got a good feeling of when to shift. It wasn't a big deal, and more time behind the wheel may have changed that.

What the hell is wrong with the Toyota designers? How in the world can they think that this is a good look?

Are they trying to see if they can make a vehicle that is even more hideous than the tundra?

Looks wise GM is kicking the crap out of Toyota.

Was that a WRX (or other Impreza model) by chance?

I've heard those are not that enjoyable to row your own, especially for a sporty car. I haven't driven one, just heard it online (here and other sites).

It's definitely a little different, but I always love when I drive my buddy's WRX. Awd, 5spd, ~300whp.
Trans is ok, but it's a total blast to drive. Huge fan of the unequal length header rumble and boost.

That being said, just like a boat it's better to have a friend with a subaru than own a subaru yourself. I don't know anybody still on the original engine.

Wonder what prices will be like in 10 years time. Can't imagine they'll be cheaper than today.

They won’t, you are 100% correct.

This is why I’m buying a machine for my business this week, cuz I know next year it’s gonna cost me even more. I can do without it but it would be really nice to have it.

Maybe I just prefer to not touch what the engineers and general public tells me what I need, only I know what I need or want. Not out of touch, simply my choice. In this scenario I am happy being the minority, works for me. My opinion.

I still think there are enough of us in the "minority" that would happily buy that simple little, small truck that could share the showroom with the overpriced technology laden trucks that "hundreds of thousands of people" would buy.

There are a few of you, but non-fleet sales of SR trim trucks tell the real story. We all want something simple until we show up at the dealer to buy one.

Like I said, the world needs both - minority & majority. Unfortunately, the minority's wants aren't the wants that make millions

    Tacoma and 4runner are siblings.
