On the local news this morning had a piece about gas reaching $7.00 this year! They had some "experts" opinions on there that said they feel it is very realistic. Did anyone else hear of this? If true, that sure makes me even more glad I traded my Hemi Ram for the Taco.

well normally I would say... F*^K! however, this summer I'll be in Iraq and the Taco will be in storage. Might have to look into a fuel efficient DD when I get back though. I do have my motorcycle to ride also but not when the weather sucks

They have been saying this every year for a while. I bet it might get high, but no $7. If it does happen I will be looking for a nice motorcycle.

    It won't get that high.

Once it gets to $5.00, demand will plummet. Americans have a great way of protesting by not buying things.

Public transit, alternative transportation, carpooling will all spike until prices return to a "normal" level. Oil companies are greedy, but they aren't stupid. They're not going to outprice their consumer base.

Well I have been hearing we were headed to $4-$5, but $7? Not saying I believe this but maybe they are trying to soften the blow of hitting $4 or $5. Either way it is absurd and the economy is not gonna get better like that, that is for sure!

they also say the worlds gonna end in 2012, and y2k, swine flu... I love Fox news and im the most right-wing man on my block. but im sorry, Glen Beck can get kind of old and all these little stories about gas and discrimination are just sidetracks to get their minds off our problem in the whitehouse! IMO :)
