Ok so I have been doing a lot of reading trying to figure out how to get an extra 1" of lift out of my DB fabtech lift. I have the rear handled so all im trying to get figured out is how is the cheapest esaiest way to get an extra 1" in height in the front. 06 DCSB with fabtech 6" DB lift and 35" toyo MT tires. Can I just put longer coils on the stock shocks?

but seriously im not sure how DB lifts work but im guessing you could add 5100's and set @ .85" but don't quote me

I was under the understanding that the 6" lift with the dropped diff would be ok pushing the lift a little. I know the 3" lifts pushes the limits of the cv angles at 3" because the diff stays in factory location. with the fabtech 6" lift my cv angles are very close to stock angles. Am I wrong here?

What are you refering to when you say setting them to .85"? Is that just preload on the spring. .85" down from the top of the shock?

What are you trying to accomplish this for exactly? Perhaps your needs would just be better served by trimming some fenders and sheetmetal?

Give Armen @ Fabtech a call directly. He is the tech God there. If it can be done at all, he'd be the one to tell you how.

    Yes
A 6" DB lift simply moves the mounting point for the LCA's down 6" so a 6" DB lift when installed with no preload on the CO's provides OE angles on everything...that is the whole point of the DB you don't even need aftermarket UCA's they also still sit at OE position because the aftermarket spindles with the DB kit are 6" taller too ( and way beefier than the OE spindles BTW ). If he add's a little preload to his 6" lift to gain an inch in the front it is exactly the same as adding an inch of pre load to a stock truck.

For those wondering why he would want to raise it up an inch it is most likely to level the truck, most of DB kits lift the truck with the OE low front end rake maintained and most people want to sit level so the options are to lower the rear or lift the front a bit.

OP - to answer your question - no a taller coil will not do anything, a stronger coil may hold the front end up higher though...but will ride stiffer. If you do not have adjustable coil overs then your only option would be to buy some or buy some 5100's as someone else managed so that you can adjust the 5100 to the next setting.

I have read that somewhere. So the lift puts the control arms at there "Movement" limit? So would I have to get aftermarket control arms? Lower and upper?
