I have the factory tow package w/the 7 pin connector. I have not power going to the running lights for the plug. The wiring & plug are in good shape. What could be the issue?

Pop the hood and go hunting for blown fuses. Had a similar issue a few years back. Ended up being the "trailer tail" fuse.

It was that 30A tow fuse. What's weird is all the lights worked except the running lights. Stop & turn worked fine w/that fuse blown.
    Thanks!

Same thing happened to me. Everything worked except the brake lights.

Yep, that would do it. Must be a short in the trailer wiring of the last trailer that was towed.
