    ?

The technology is being developed at the pinnacle of motorsport and the ERS technology has already transfered to some high end road cars .

    It's a trickle down , that's how it works .

It's all fact , not troll

Your comment is more of a troll if you ask me

I agree. Happens all the time. The tech Toyota puts into lexus eventually gets into the Toyotas. Its all a cost game. People buying higher end cars can afford the extra cost of the newer technology and then when the cost goes down the average man can afford it

The more you deny being wrong, how ever partial wrong may be, the more you become a woman. Stuff trickles down all the time. :stirthepot:

for example, not too long ago lcd screen radios and bluetooth connect were only available in higher end toyotas (toyota being an example here)....I wonder which toyotas have them now :cookiemonster:

I guess the point people are trying to make is a 700 HP car is easy any thing with enough displacement can make HP with out a whole lot of technology Corvette got away with it for decades that was Duntov's plan and it worked for many years. But if you live in the past there will never be a future. Small engines with the precision of a watch making HP that makes big blocks look like toys with 1/4 the displacement are now common place. Frankly I would far rather watch a rally or a hill climb than a drag race.

I guess the point people are trying to make is a 700 HP car is on the lot for sale to anyone with the $$..Put a tag on it & you can drive it on the street.. The thread was not about a trailer queen that's towed from race to race but about a street car with High Horse Power. :stayontopic:

I understand the point, but many forget that the 2007 Mercedes McLaren SLR has 722 hp. And leather seats. 2013 Ferrari F12 has 730 hp. 2014 Lamborghini Veno, and Mercedes SLS AMG both have 740. The Ferrari La Ferrari has 950, the veron SS has 1200, and the henessy venom GT has 1244. There are over 50 cars available off dealer show rooms in the USA with upwards of 600 hp. I think the Challenger offering is pretty impressive, none the less........

I don't think they ever left. Chevy had the 496 in their trucks for a long time, and the Viper doesn't use a very small engine.

You do realize that that every single car you listed is multiple times what this one will cost? For the money... holy shit. My dads GT500 has 662 and it is downright stupid. I dont think you can really compare the american muscle cars to supercars.

You guys are comparing multi-million dollar cars to something thats going to be well under 100K. Probably 50-60k. Dodge also said they will be offering their top tier engines in their base models now too. So in all honesty this may be very impressive especially for the price. yes there are more expensive cars that way outperform this car. But power for dollar this is where it gets interesting...
