7500 miles and no complaints. Only defect I see that'll get addressed is the driver side rear window seal that is not sealed properly at the glass. Shifting is fine(it's and auto) and as mostly all my driving is city I'm averaging 17-20 depending on traffic lights and flow of traffic. Changed oil mysef at 5k. In a month or so I'll take to stealership and get the molding replaced. Since buying her i did 5% tints and 70 on Windshield. Neosprene covers, led reverse bulbs and running boards.

Nice looking truck. Good to hear you have no issues, and that gas mileage in city, nothing to complain about there. We need to see more posts like yours, instead of all the negatives that get blown out of proportion. Congrats on a good truck.

Can't really tell, but do you actually own a 3rd Gen? Some of us actually have had significant issues. Took me three trips to the dealer to get my transmission issues sorted out. First time they didn't want to check the fluid. Second dealership did add fluid but was still having shifting issues. Third trip to the dealership and they confirmed the fluid was correct and Toyota ordered the dealership to reset the memory for the engine AND transmission. People here love to bash on those of us who have had issues, but really you can't group everyone together as complainers. I bet if you had the same issues as I've had you'd be pissed as well and rightfully so.

Many people think because they spend 35-40 k on a car that it should bring all the whistles. This money does not go to far now a days. I bought it for reliability and because I needed a midsize. It has warranty so any issues can be resolved. I still own a 2007 f450 diesel. Has a 6.0. It's my work truck. Bought it 9.5 years ago. She's been great and I remember when i bought it people saying these motors were crap. Driving it now. Does not skip a beat. Go out and enjoy your Taco. I think for ever disgruntled owner there are 10 happy :)

Do you need to know, or care?
Nice to hear from a reasonable owner. Yes, I had the low tranny fluid issue. Two trips to the dealer fixed that. No issues with the door seals. I also have issue with the fender mouldings pulling away from the body, the dealer's got those on order from the factory and will get replaced when they receive them. So, a couple issues with a new truck, but in all the new vehicles I've bought, they all have had issues that brought me in for warranty work, so I don't sweat them anymore and look at all the positives that this new Gen 3 has. To be honest, absolutely love this truck far more than my Gen 2. It's my opinion, respect other's opinions, but it's just the way I'm feeling.

As someone who is having several issues with my truck, I also like seeing the positive posts. It gives me hope that mine is fixable and its not just a bad design.

Hope more people post positive reviews.

If I had a dollar for every 3rd Gen owner on here who said they had "no issues after 7500 miles" I'd have 4 dollars

Maybe that's because the ones with no issues are enjoying their trucks and don't have time to post anything.

Dang man. I ordered a manual tranny to avoid these issues. Also in regards to everyone's posts about dealership issues... You just need to search around for the right dealership. All my maintenance is included for the first 2 years. I have lifetime free oil changes from my dealership as well. They're going to inspect everything each 5,000 miles until 20k miles for me and everything will be included. I just picked mine up yesterday by the way.
