Anyone running this amsoil 75w-110 weight gear oil in your diffs? Will it cause damage? Will it potentially quite up the rear diff whine? Just curious thanks.

I've run it front/rear for 3 years and over 40k miles. Works very well.

I have 4.88 nitro gears. I initially ran 75W110, but did not find it significantly reduced the whine. I put the Nitro-recommended 85W140 in and they pretty much shut right up. I would say temper your expeditions.

In my 2016 TRD Sport I run standard spec gear oils - all by Ravenol (good $hi+). Next gear oil change I'm going to put 75W110 in the rear diff because I tow a lot in the summer. In my 1989 2wd, I run Redline MT-90 in the trans and Castrol 75W140 Syntrax in the diff. The 75W140 made a huge difference!
