Had some extra LED pods that were gifted to me laying around. Nothing better to do today than clean the truck and make a bracket extension to mount them to the ditch light bracket.

Turned out pretty good, Interested to see how they perform at night.

Who knows, I may be irresponsible with the covid-19 check and get Baja’s

 

With the Covid-19 issues going around recently I’ve had a little more time to work on the truck. Luckily I’ll still have a job for the foreseeable future, just a couple days of down time this week.

Ordered in a Midland MTX275 GMRS Radio for the truck. It should make communication with the other rigs I wheel with a lot easier. Simple install, nothing is hardwired so when I decide to make the switch to HAM it’ll be easy to remove or move in the truck.

Also gave the truck a well needed bath. Decided to paint the stock recovery point as well out of pure boredom. Gives the front of the truck a little different look.

Found a good deal on a used set of VTX Viper SL in 16x8 -12 and had to pick them up. Definitely changed the whole look of the truck.

 

Picked up a used set of Baja Designs Squadron Sport Amber Fog lights for $100. For the price I couldn’t say no.



I’m excited to get a good set of LED’s on the truck as new Baja’s don’t fit in my budget. Had to order the H11 connector from Baja, as soon as that gets here I’ll have them wired up on the truck.

 

Baja’s are installed... only broke 3 tabs on the fog light bezels.... nothing some super glue couldn’t fix.

Had the urge to take the dog for a little walk and break out the Canon for some pics.

Having the Trasharoo bag on the tailgate doesn't scratch the paint?

 

I haven't had an issue with it scratching it. I normally don’t ride around with it unless I’m on a trip but it stores my wet boots well and I’ve been too lazy to take it off.

Ahhh, 10-4 I know what truck you have now. There was a Quicksand Tacoma with CBI Bed bars and Bronze wheels on Martin Hwy.

There is another guy in town with an identical truck to yours. He has a upgraded rear bumper though.

 

Interesting, I only seen another Quicksand with mods and I believe it was you.
December I should be adding a few more things to my truck, and making a few trips hopefully.

 

Yeah, I passed you on commerce towing my boat one day.

 

Went up to Georgia and traveled the Georgia traverse last week from 10/4-10/9.

It was a pretty fun trip. We had my truck, an Xterra and a Ford Ranger up there.



We also did some Trout fishing while we were up there and I got 2 Rainbow Trout on fly.



The Stars were unreal up there. Definitely not something you see in South Florida.



All in all it was a great trip. My pup got hurt the first night we were up there on a wine glass someone left at camp. Headed to the vet here in a little to have him checked out. Pretty good cut to his front leg.
