They're not really any different than a spacer that sits inside the assembly. I guess technically I'm wrong in calling it pre-load, they really just add height but not to overall compressed length. Though now the coil has to compress farther than it would have. So... as long as your coils don't hit each other (bind) then it shouldn't be a problem except maybe shortening the life of your shitty stock springs, which you're bound to replace eventually anyway.

You can do like I did and find some nuts fitting your studs. I think 8 or 10 x 1.25. Use some lower profile nuts and washers. The factory nuts have a large base on them that doesn't thread anyway. Weird design? They'll barely fit but they should have a few threads poking out after you tighten them down.

    Oh wait!
You may not have to at all with 1/4" (should give you about 1/2 of lift) but that's how I fit my 1/2" spacers.

I think 3/8" would have been ideal though myself! :D

Working on it! Just waiting on my bumper... Patiently of course. :D

Yeah, I'll probably see what I lose with the bumper and winch and order accordingly. I like where it sits now.

Anybody wanna buy a Sig? TW gets first shot at this before it goes on Reno4x4.
Sig P226 Elite Stainless chambered in 9mm.
It's got Night Sights and the SRT trigger.
I'm the original owner and there's less than 500 rounds down the pipe.
I swapped out the grips with standard black grips but I still have the rosewood grips. I also have a 20 round extended mag for it, a Blackhawk SERPA holster, the original box and all the crap that came in it.

    $1100 OBO

OK weld on it is then.
I can snap some pics of the bedliner friday. I'm installing sliders on sloan's tacoma friday morning and I coated them in the bedliner. Its also what my bumpers and sliders are coated with on my truck, but mine are a little faded and dinged up from 'wheelin with no touch up yet. lol.

If you want them installed in Feb, you should order now. Honestly thats sooner than they'd typically be done, I'm usually around 3-4 mo on sliders but I have some extra welding help in the shop now and it may be doable. I know my January is going to be slammed. Some big projects/installs and some new armor designs as well.

Looks like fun. We did a small night snow run. There's a few pics but nothing worth posting.
