Drained the rear diff and got it dropped this morning. Diff gears look good, Axle shafts both good, locker good. No metal shavings in the oil nothing  The problem that I can only describe as something in the driveline skipping splines sounded and felt like the rear end and only happend when the rear locker was engaged. I need to drop my tcase to reseal the shaft seal so I'll tear that apart and take a peak but im kinda lost and just chasing a ghost at this point.

Never go out solo. But if you do, AOAA is the place to do it, 99% chance someone else will be coming by within the hour :) Every year there are plenty of people looking to keep it simple and do greens, so you won't be hard pressed to find at least a couple other to tag along with.

Front diff? Or possibly just the locker slipping?

It only happens when the rear was locked. I could lock the front no issues. 4hi/lo worked flawless. Just as soon as I'd engage the rear locker there was some weird binding going on. Guess ill just try and replicate it in October :rofl:I could throw 12 volts at the locker motor and see if it's fully engaging I suppose.

Definitely come out! AOAA is absolutely beginner friendly and there's usually groups that stick to more mild routes. Good place to learn and get some seat time. Come through, check out some trucks, make connections, and have a fun time!

We can definitely find a couple spots at AOAA to test it.

And enough people to tow you back to camp if it fails catastrophically.

Just verified the rear locker is fully engaging. Checking my tcase next. Need to drop it anyways as the input shaft seal is leaking. If that looks good too I'm just gonna put everything back together and try to grenade something at AOAA lol. I'll be trailering the truck there again anyways.
