Yeah, I saw that when he first posted it, he kills the stealth a little but he was the reason I decided not to go with the split, way way too much nonsense with little gains. I think he's also in a bigger trailer than we have if I recall correctly. He's using the MidNite classic, an AIMS inverter, he did a great job just not ideal for how I travel. There's another guy with a grey one much like I have that I like more, let me find the link:

Pretty sure that was it. We all need to make it fit us though, our needs, our budget and so on.

@TucsonAZ Finally got my battery bank platform finished. As well as getting the flooring in. Almost time to take it to the RV shop to have all of the electrical and solar done. Possibly will be installing solar myself. Haven't decided. Also found a local guy with 330W panels and some lightly used batteries. How have things been going with you?

Nadda here, haven't really been giving it a ton of thought, I already have all the supplies I need to finish the thing sans some hardwood. My issue is the pile of other things that need doing and my overall lack of energy. I get as much as I can done in the cooler months then when I want to escape and travel for the monsoons I'm out of steam. 110 degree days isn't as motivating to weld and fabricate as one might thing.

Do you have photos of your project?

I can 100% understand that. I have been in some extreme dry heat and it's definitely motivating.

Yes, Actually i do. I have pictures and video I took on my GoPro. Got a little dark tonight so I was unable to take good video tonight. I will get the "Edited" and by that i mean just cut to get a bunch of the crap out as I am no good and have no exp with videos. Ill try to snap some more pictures at least and get those up.

Looking at doing something similar with a 7x12 or 7x14 TA, and this build thread is super interesting to me. What was the decision process behind swapping the preinstalled plywood with aluminum sheeting? Was it originally to save weight, or was there more to it? Also, any updates now that the weather is starting to cool off?

Okay okay, I'm not going to make any excuses here, I just haven't made this a huge priority and I should because it's very important to me. There isn't much else to say about that end of it, I keep prioritizing other projects because this one feels daunting and I keep making excuses about why delaying is a good idea. I own every single thing needed to complete this project other than the motivation and a workspace I'm pleased with. I have done a lot of welding in my life but for some reason I'm mostly hung up on the amount of tig welding this will require as I've never done tig.

As for the preinstalled particle board I will simply say that it comes down to ingredients list and health. There is a slight weight savings with the aluminum for sure, I calculated the weight per sqft at some point and even with the insulation and so on the weight savings was there for the aluminum. More important to me though was that isn't a small space and I saw no up side to trying to live in a small space filling with man made products that offgassed tons of chemicals. The lack of rain related issues and rot is a positive but wasn't my main factor, other than cost I just saw the aluminum as far far superior.

And then of course there's always the case of an apocalypse, I'm sure it would be advantageous to be living in a faraday shield but that's just a random added bonus not something I'd planned.
