I have read all the post about the 8.75 diff that comes in the 3rd Gen.
I have read people saying that it has the same spline count as the 8.4.
The bolt pattern for the 3rd member is the same from a 8.4 to an 8.75 using the same size studs.
Can anyone confirm the diameter of the axle shaft at the splines is the same as an 8.4?

The 8.75/8.8 uses 32 spline 1.37" axle shafts.

Some 3rd gens come with the old 8" diff that have the 30 spline 1.31" shafts. Possible you can use the 8.75/8.8" housing, the 8.4 diff, and the 8" axle shafts with outer bearings etc?

See that’s just it I had read the 8.75 and the 8.4 had the same spline count but different shaft size.
