You need to talk to the dealer-Not us. as you can see- Everyone has a different idea and comment to make.
The shop you bought it at is the only place that can make a decision...

Not sure if this will help you, but a brand new Toyota comes with 2 years roadside assistance and free towing. a certified pre-owned, (CPO) according to Toyotas website comes with the following:

The Toyota Certified Used Vehicles Advantage

    • 12-month/12,000-mile Comprehensive Warranty1
    • 7-year/100,000-mile Limited Powertrain Warranty2
    • 1-year of Roadside Assistance3
    • 160-Point Quality Assurance Inspection
    • CARFAX® Vehicle History Report™4
    • Certified customers are eligible for standard new car financing rates5
If it's not a CPO, call the dealer and they might have some kind of 1 month 1200 mile warranty, most dealers here in Houston do. If all else fails, you have a mechanic in the family that will get you a discount (hopefully).

I had a similar situation. You just need to call the dealer and they will have to repair the vehicle because it was within the 30 or 60 day warranty. Technically, if the vehicle is can not pass inspection, then you could fight to reduce the amount you payed for the vehicle. This is sometime a hard situation though.

Call the dealer and tell them to come get it.

I called them up, if we can verify that it is indeed the alternator, they might write out a check to be sent to me so I can get it fixed nearby

Thats a relief, Im not 100% sure mine was certified, but on the paper work I got it has a full 30 day, 2500 mile warranty for anything that might make it an unsafe vehicle, or a vehicle that is unable to run

Anyone have any ideas about what could be draining the amps from my car? I've checked every obvious light, my trucks prettty stock so I don't have any extra lights that might be left on

If the diodes in the alternator are bad it will allow the battery to discharge when the vehicle is off, even if it is charging properly when on.

10 milliamps doesn't seem like much to me. Some new cars can drain more than 100+ at full rest.
