Um...like the rest of the desert?

Glad the driver isn't being criminally charged. Good luck fighting off the civil suits.

Most people affected by the crash, including ones that were killed, were either related or friends of the driver and/or other drivers in the race. There were no entrance tickets, no sponsor tables, not even advertising for this race. People who were there loved desert racing, and I'd be surprised if they sued. Im not saying they wont, but I would be surprised if they did.

My Dads trail riding (dirt bike) friend's only son died in this crash. Dickinson.. Very sad.

I grew up watching these types of races and they do get out of hand at times. May the victims R.I.P. and may the driver find comfort in knowing it was an accident and there was nothing he could have personally done to prevent it. Very sad.. :(

I saw in another post you saw the accident and witnessed the aftermath and attempted to help...I want to say Thanks and that I hope you are doing okay man.

I witnessed a horrific accident at 14 years old where 9 people died in a van rollover on the highway and those images still resonate in my head.

I witnessed it and went over to see if I could help, but the degree to which people were injured meant I would have done more harm than good without proper medical training. The best I could do is step back and give them space. I felt utterly helpless.

This was a very misfortunate accident, feel bad for victims aswell as the loved ones. I know we have police depts, fire depts etc.. that keep us safe, but first and foremost it is up to us, the individual to make the right decisions in life. It angered me when I read some of the spectators started to throw rocks at the driver, I guess thats why he fled. Emotions seemed to have gotten the better of some of the people at the scene. In closing, be careful out there fellow motorhead and motorheadettes, lets have fun and if you see someone that doesn't look to be in the safest place, reel him in.

According to race spectators who witnessed the aftermath, nobody threw rocks at him. It seems like a Media ploy to make the story more "juicy".. :(

Sad this had to happen my thoughts and prayers go out to the families of all involved.

I must say though I would never stand that close at an event like that.
