Lol, all your fancy pants nice rides and your "gauges"

I have the "I think I could make it a couple more miles" approach. Haven't had a problem with it yet

    Probably just jinxed myself.

Highway with a tailwind with the shitty rear axle. Real world mileage is less. Although it is pretty comparable to say, a Camry or Accord V6.

But if you're buying a V6 Mustang, you're doing it wrong anyway.

Correction. A Jeep is like a brick with 4 wheels... Trust me, have owned 2.

A truck is more like a badass brick with a Tacoma badge

Mark , getting back to an earlier discussion we had on gas prices , I saw a piece on our National news tonight , the cost of gas , pre-taxes in Vancouver is $0.86 / litre and with taxes it is $1.33 / litre .

This amount is a bit skewed because there is a $0.15 / litre transit levy in Metro Vancouver so if you remove that it would be $1.18 / litre taxes in .

    Converted for you guyz

    No tax $3.33
    With tax $4.46
With taxes and transit levy $ 5.03

yikes...I know Canada and Europe tax the hell out of your gas... its sort of mess up especially for you Canadians.... for the most part depending on the state taxes range from 0.30 to 0.50 per gallon here

    No kidding.

Also seems like it went from $50/tank to $70/tank awfully fast too.

What kills me is nothing has really changed to cause the hike in per barrel costs either. It's the speculation that something "might" happen.

Then we get double f'd in CA because we're into the summer blend season where there's 10 or 15 percent ethanol added to the fuel--it burns "cleaner". Too bad you just have to burn more of it because it's less efficient.

    Ugh.

Our taxes are pretty high per gallon--state takes 36 cents and the feds, another 18 cents. There's been some talk about suspending the state tax till this blows over. I can agree about "it blows" but doubt Jerry Brown will agree to that.

I'm thinkin either get a carpool to my work going or get an old beater civic or corolla. 250 miles per week is starting to hurt with the prices. I love driving the truck but pretty soon won't be able to afford this crap. All because these assfaces are "speculating" that people are going to overthrow their governments in the middle east. Big oil makes more billions off the people yet again.

LOL. The same gas station that I filled up at yesterday went up 2 cents today. $3.95 now. I feel bad for the poor souls with diesel trucks.

Laugh all you want about the high price of gas Inky. But the reality is, it will impact everything from the price you pay at the grocery store to the cost of delivering stuff to the price of an airline ticket. Not to mention if you have $20 less to spend each week, you won't eat out or have that money for other stuff.
