Finally looking at the a/c and whoever built this truck fukked the air conditioning before the bumper build - I can't run a/c lines without removing the bumper so I'll have to rebuild the bumper (no big deal), but whatever they did to the a/c system by ripping out the lines and stuff destroyed it. All of it needs to be replaced. It would cost upwards of $2,000 in parts because someone was too cheap to do it right the first time around.

Does anyone have a preferred local junkyard? I've always had good luck down in Sun Valley in Los Angeles. I'd even be down to have someone do the swap at a garage by the junk yard to save myself time.

Got a price quote from wheelers for the ome 885 coils, progressive 1.5" AAL, bilstein 5100 struts, and shocks shipped for around $700, They offered to install the coil and strut package together to make it easier for $134.
Does anyone have experience with their assemblies? Does it make it 100 times easier just having them put the coil and strut together for the $134?
    What is everyones thoughts?
Lastly, anyone interested in helping me install them whichever way I go about it? I come with some ice cold beers of your choice!

If you don't have access to a spring compressor and you don't trust the free ones you can rent from vato-zone (like me) then you might want them to put them together. Will definitely make the install go faster.

Only junkyards I've been to have been in the LA area as well. I know nothing about the ones local.

you can compress the spring with the struts on the truck, makes it really not sketchy in my opinion.

so are we saying its not worth the $134 extra for them to put it together?

I saw these the other day. Any idea on price? I'm between getting new coilovers or keeping my 5100s and adding 887 coils.

I wish I ordered them... I'm having trouble finding pricing, looks to be around $800 for a pair, but I'm not sure because from the looks of it, they're not going to be ready for Tacos until Dec./Jan. I'm trying to decide between 886s, 887s, ORI struts, or these.

Any 01-04 guys have a pair of headlights I can borrow for a few days while I do my retrofit?

Their 800 EACH. Like one coilover. So 1600 a pair. Says about 2800 for a full set.

Damn out of my price range. Especially because I need new UCAs. I think I'm gonna let my 5100s do their job until I get my major mods I want out of the way like Dakars, sliders, skids, and a Prinsu toprac. Then the UCAs and new shocks will come into play.

Hahaha this site is going to kill me. I honestly can't think of anything to do once I have my rear bumper from Pelfrey this month, redo suspension, and get the stuff listed above. I'm hoping this truck is completed, at least in my mind, in 2 years. Then I just get to enjoy it!

I'm hoping I never think of anything more to do.
