I thought that at first but the broken tab has jb weld on it so it had been broken before. I was told they were brand new housings.

Did you tell the seller that you're unhappy with the product you received?
I'd try to get my money back from the guy if he BSed you.

He claimed not to know what I was talking about. He very well could have been telling the truth and been sold some crappy headlights from somebody else. He said he got them from a vendor who makes retrofits. Then the shroud could have come off during shipping but it shouldn't have because they are meant to be on a truck that will be off road...

I just didn't feel like pressing the issue much further since Micah told me he knew how to fix them and I still want retrofits.

Yea that's a shitty situation. I don't know if shrouds would fall off in shipping.
Most people use steel stick or a small amount of jb weld, and that should keep them on really well.
Even the shroud centric rings which snap on should hold them on even if offroading..
But hey i've had shipping destroy some of my packages..
One time they lost my custom 400 dollar exhaust they swear was delivered

Regarding the leaf pack, I believe all pro's have more travel if that's if concern to you.
I would have to get longer rear struts if I chose to get the expo pack now

Halloween brings some pretty shady people to IV.
Rather work on the truck all weekend than be in IV :welder:

I hate Halloween in IV. Especially on DP. Always have to move my truck so it doesn't get destroyed

I agree with you on that. Might skip town and head back up to mammoth but bring a buddy and some motorcycles...

Yeah. So many shady people. Last year I caught somebody sleeping on my truck. Like on my tonneau cover. Then another car in our lot got their windshield smashed. Just not cool.

Shit was still crazy back then, as in tons of parties and fun, but just waaaay less stupid people.

It's become an event that people from all over come to. Last year there were guys from ASU, Utah St, and all over Cali. Everybody in IV is a total ass to them since they are the reason it's not fun anymore so it's really weird. I would never want to go to a place where everybody hates my presence...

Closed house parties is where it's at. I put up a fence around my house my senior year just for that reason. It was easy and cheap enough when everyone pitched in. even built an outdoor fire pit! one of the many benefits of working at HomeDepot

Some of my fondest memories of (h)IV halloween were the times we spent on balconies throwing water balloons at the folks walking end to end on DP (aka the outa town/state'rs).

Haha we have the same! Unfortunately, no music this week after 6pm allowed, no fires, no outdoor gatherings, no gatherings of people more than 10 greater than the lease allows... We live in Marshall Law this week.
