It could have been better, but it wasn't bad. The tide was going out as well, so that didn't help.

It's much cheaper to buy compared to SB, but Lompoc has a 60+% rental rate and prices have shot up even in the year that I have been living here. You're correct that you can rent a two bedroom apartment for $850 up here but it won't be dog friendly. We're facing the same pet restrictions as SB. I didn't really want housemates (nor do I need them), but the benefits of having even one other person in the house when you have a dog is amazing. I can decide on a whim to not drive home to Lompoc just to feed the dog and instead meet my gf for dinner in SB without feeling bad. In the case of doggie daycare, usually my dog goes everywhere, but there are times he hasn't come and once was for 8 days. I can't afford Dioji for 8 nights :(

Gotcha. I'm glad to hear you got out. It's a beautiful day and if you're able to get out into the water and surf, go for it!

Haha I thought I told you guys how incapable I am. I've tried a ton. I've also tried to skate a ton. One of my biggest regrets is not learning how to do both if those. For now, wakeboarding and snowboarding will suffice. Just got my pass and am already going to big bear on Friday and mammoth on the 27th for a week

Haha damn the timing! @doreydeluxe and I are driving up to Mammoth on the 23rd, but only staying until Saturday... We'll probably see you on the way down! Speaking of wakeboarding, if you have a wetsuit and are willing to play shark bait, I've been itching to take my boat out one of these weekends! On a glassy day, my boat makes a decent little wake!

I'd be down. I'm pretty sure I've got a wetsuit that is way too small for me because I used to wakeboard in the winter at Havasu. Might be able to squeeze into it

I'll look for your truck! We will be in the behemoth. 2015 GMC Yukon white.

I used to "freeboard" back in the day when my brother used to have his Boston Whaler
On glassy flat days we'd load up the surfboards and take his boat out. We'd take turns pulling the other behind the boat. It was fun using the longboards...damn, those were fun times.

I do feel like a kook with the GoPro on my board (have only tried it out twice so far) but the damn thing takes some pretty good video/pics.

Here's from today. I'm on my OLD 10' beater board. Surprisingly the thing still floats. Any one have a longboard for sale??
