@SixthSnail Do you know if Casey was able to go to the DMV to put that pathfinder in his name?

I'd be down to meet in Santa Ynez Valley and try to go up S Refugio Road to meet up with West Camino and continue to East around lunchtime. Does anyone know if that road is open? I don't see anywhere that it is not.

He said the brake lines are so bad that it's sketchy to drive so he's fixing that first.

Correction: it appears it MAY be closed at Quiota Creek crossing #3, but was supposed to be done Dec 6. Not really sure... (source: http://cosb.countyofsb.org/pwd/pwroads.aspx?id=2974)

and after a quick phone call, it's still 50/50. They didn't actually know. He just advised against going up the road due to boulders and because they do not maintain it. Sounds like adventure! :cookiemonster:

No. I've never taken Refugio rd pass Refugio up towards Solvang. Pretty such that's what he was talking about

    Hello from San Luis Obispo.

Looks like the most active folks are south of me, but I'll lurk around and see if anything interesting comes up. I'm on call until Christmas, so I won't be going anywhere for a few weeks.

Truck is new, so I'm going to be a bit of sissy for a while (though I did get some minor manzanita pin striping before I'd owned it 24 hours). I've lived in the area most of my life and explored a lot of the Los Padres roads, but have not done much wheeling in the last 15 years, so it's almost all new.
