    Sway bar!

And I do have the stock control arms on! Thats why I'm hoping thats what it is and not the shocks toping out. If the shocks are topping out and causing the clunk, I am either buying @SixthSnail's adjustable 5100 bilies once he gets his new ADS or I'll just order some new ones from Amazon.

Just be sure when you take your springs off to separate the springs and coils when you take them off!!!

Wont matter what shock you go with... if you run the stock uca it will hit the coils. Like stated they hit my coils and i use a 5100..... FYI 5100's have a LONGER extended length than OME front shocks (read more droop) so the point at which the 5100 goes into its top out zone is further droop which will make the clunk actually worse haha.

Its real easy to see if thats your issue... simply jack the front up by the frame to droop the suspenion out fully (both tires at the same time if you have a sway bar still attached) and see what your coil to UCA clearances are.

Ok bear with me, as I am no mechanic and am not intimately familiar with suspensions...
If the 5100's have a longer extended length, then isn't that better? I thought the clunk is occurring when the current OME shock is fully extended, which is happening because when I hit a speed bump, the spring and shock combo is strong enough that the rebound throws the front end up high enough that there is full extension. If the shock has a longer extension, should that mean the droop would be larger and thus less likely to be fully extended?

However, if you're right and it won't matter if I but in the 5100s, should I just sell the coilovers and get something else? OR to make the current ones work get some LR UCAs? (those being the only solutions?)

Yes the longer extended length helps on the 5100.... BUT if your uca is hitting coil... that is your limiter on down travel, so it doesnt mater what shock you are using. again only way to find out is to jack the truck up and get her at full droop

Ohhhh gotcha. Ok the uca is not hitting the coil. I've had the truck up 3 times now and they haven't hit. Sorry, I was thinking about the sway bar hitting not the uca.

maybe your coils were rotated to a spot where the UCA could go inbetween the winds, But i know on my truck which does not have a swaybar at full droop they got real close and you could see where it hit coils.

Also note that staticly drooping out the suspension might not be fully drooped out when compared to a suspension cycle from a compressed state. IE the back side of a speed bump. This is due to the stock bushings on the LCA and frame being a bonded rubber style and not free spinning. This causes the LCA to not want to move down past where the bushing was tightened at, so the coil assembly actually has to push the LCA down at a certain point. ALSO, (and im not sure how the 5100's or OME suspension is constructed) but often times there is an internal top out spring / bumper that compresses a lil to make topping out of the shock softer, this is another reason why statically drooping of the suspension might be less than what a moving droop will be.

Either way, its something to look at, droop the truck out and have a look where the UCA is in relation to the coil, and look and see if its made contact, it will be very obvious if it has.

Looks like zero contact between the UCA and the coil!

No scrapage or rubbing it looks like.
Got the shop to crack the last sway bar bolt so it's off, going to throw the wheels back on and drive over the speed bumps and see if it's resolved. Update in a few minutes!

Still thunking. But seems less pronounced now that the sway bar is off... But still fucking thunking.

So I guess it's new shocks, or more weight?

Figure out the issue before you go dump money on new parts. Have someone from here help you out too. For starters, recheck the torque on every bolt that was touched during the install as well as the bolts near those bolts. If possible, gopro it and post it.
