Last night some fuckhead stole my jerry cans off my swing out. It was locked, it looks like they bent the metal bracket that "locks" it into place... I will no longer leave my items on the swingout... Just a heads up if anyone is on the mesa, there's scumbags here. Time to camp out in the boat and leave some bait :infantry:

    That's so shitty.

Hey on those rotopax mounts, they may lock, but you can spin them hard enough and they will unscrew so don't leave those either!

Probably a smart move. I always had a shitty little cable on my swing out spare but it wouldn't stop somebody who really wanted it...

What options are you going on your rack?

Ask and do it if you can! That would look sick. Going full height or keeping it low profile?

I think that looks best on bed racks. What tent did you order again?

What rack are you looking into? Subd to your build, looking good! It pisses me off that this happened in my driveway, but I guess it's my fault for keeping bright red and blue jerry cans right where they can be seen...

Ha! The boat has a bit of a gnarlier locking mechanism on it than my gas cans... Going to set some "bait" tonight and see if I can't catch me a swine...

Jason makes great stuff, I'll be making a trip out to his shop in the next few weeks for a CMC and spindle gussets.

There is a really expensive way to do it that works pretty well. There are these specialty nuts that you screw 2 on each bolt. They fit together to turn with a wrench, then you take one of them off and it's impossible to take them off without the other one.

It takes about 40 minutes to install or remove mine so I just leave it and hope.

Let me try to find some. My buddies at Goose-Gear gave me some when I bought mine from them but I lost them. I'll see if they sell some or where to find the same thing. They are working on the Expedition Overland Rigs right now so they may be slow to respond.

I know I talked to @fishfinder, @veronatii, and @logcabinwc about it, but if anybody else is interested check it.

We were thinking it would be fun to head up to fig, wheel, camp, drink, etc. and go wine tasting in Los Olivos to keep the girls entertained. I don't know if that would be before or after, probably better after but whatever.

Whenever we find a time to plan it, I'll let you guys know, anybody is welcome to join for as long or as little of the trip as they want. I think plan was to camp at Nira Campground for the night.

Sweet. I'll look into it. I figured that Nira would be more secluded since it is further in.

From my experience, they're both either completely secluded, or completely swarming with...people.
