    How was Pismo?
I ended up rafting the river again. I highly recommend it to anyone and to get a "sit on top" floaty - not an innertube style. They only release water every 3 years so if the drought continues, who knows what'll happen next time!

Closed from the 154 side? Can you get back to divide peak via Gibraltar still?

Nope. "Fire officials say East Camino Cielo will be closed to all traffic at the junctions of Painted Cave Road and Gibraltar Road for the safety of firefighter personnel and equipment movement." Maybe they're driving down Camuesa Road past the springs to get access behind the fire?

So shitty... My buddy's 60 acre property up near Lake Nacimento is about to burn down... Officials are giving it 36 hours at the most.

Ya know - sometimes people either don't care or are simply clueless in life. I asked two housemates which said they'd be home today to wait for the plumber (my water heater started leaking last night). Plumber arrives, no notification from housemates that anyone showed up. I text everyone asking what's up. One replies to say they are at the house and working on it and the other decided to be gone the whole day and didn't say anything...:cookiemonster:

So I wanted to bounce this off you guys and see if I'm crazy or not. This just sounds like DGAF to me.

me: did the plumber show up?
HM1: Yes the guys are here working now
me: What's wrong with it? (referencing water heater)
HM1: Beyond the leak I didn't ask. I'm just letting them work.
HM1: Tank burst a little. They patched it up. Now they are packing up and leaving.
me: Did they say why? How long will a patch hold?
HM1: They didn't say why. Possibly a defect of some sort? Anyways, no problem.

Side note: I receive a call from the home warranty company saying they authorized an entire water heater replacement at a $900 cost. So naturally, I'm wondering why the plumber patched the water heater and billed the warranty company for a brand new one...right?

me: Interesting, I just got a call from the warranty company and they said they are authorizing a replacement water heater through the plumber. I'll give them a call to see about the patch.
Girlfriend: Can I take a shower? I'm gross.
me: I just hope they didn't patch it and then bill the warranty company for a replacement. Is the water heater new? Plumber says they replaced it.
HM1: Then I guess they replaced it
Girlfriend: I'll be home soon to assess the situation.

Girlfriend gets home, takes one look at the water heater and texts me "That shit looks new as fuck, no dust, all shiny". She sent a picture and I confirmed it was new (new brand etc etc).

So how the heck did housemate 1 not realize if it was a new water heater or not? It's not freakin' rocket science...:goingcrazy:
