I have been using this site for study https://www.hamradiolicenseexam.com/study.jsp. Yes it's silly to pay but it's been super helpful for me. You can try it out for free and then if you like it, you pay for it and you are granted access to the entire database. There are only 300 questions in the pool and you can google 'ham test prep' and get the question bank, and just memorize the answers. I'm taking the test this Saturday. Apparently in SB, it's only offered on a Saturday once every other month? BUt it's only $15 and it's good for 10 years. I am going the HAM over CB route since I don't travel in groups usually.

    Nice!

Yeah, those little radios are awesome. I just got back from Saline/Death Valley and at one point we got transmission from a segment of our crew that stayed behind to explore a mountain top. About 15+ miles as the crow flies on a little 25 watt. Very impressive.

Anyone here have non-OEM rotors? I've got some serious shake in my wheel when braking at high speeds and I'm considering upgrading to Hawk Sector 27s or something similar.

STOKED! Your plan is to meet us at RM747 on Thursday, right? We'll probably get there at dusk so we get a full beach day in San Felipe.

Not 100% on when/where we'll be meeting up with you yet. Kinda all depends on how things going during the rest of the trip. Will you have the use of your phone? At least one of us will so I'll make sure to contact you when we have a better idea on where we stand.
