Nice! Don't think the hot springs will be open yet, but a West run is in order

Road is closed, and hot springs are silted in.

I'm headed up West after work around 5:00pm Thursday evening with my friend Brian and possibly my brother. I was thinking that it would be fun if a bunch of us all went up there together. Anyone interested in joining us?

I would, but I'd want to drop into Santa Ynez to go home and since the Refugio end of West Camino Cielo is still closed, I don't want to backtrack all the way to SB to go back to Lompoc. Have fun!

I'll be camping in Pismo on Saturday if anyone wants to hit the dunes!

Bummer the road is closed on the Refugio end. Maybe it'll be open by then...
Thanks! It's been a while since I've had the time to get out and about.

So, West still has some mud holes...one of which I almost didn't make it out of. haha
Pretty windy back there. It was nice to get out. The photo was taken at the first mud area not the deep one.

Finally made it up the hill. Things look different back there than I remember.

So I experienced the darker side of CL today. I'm selling my kickstart dirtbike so I can go back to an electric start. The guy offers me a hunting shotgun and other accessories. I say no, I'm all good. He then writes back, "Even if it's unregistered and not transferred through a firearms dealer?" .... Sorry man, I don't want your sketchy gun...

If that's the worst CL experience you've had, consider yourself lucky!!

I'm surprised you haven't run into any crazies when looking for roommates in your house!

Nope, have so many mods and so many maintenance items stacking up . Did you? I have been wanting to use my non existant horn so much lately...stupid drivers, people driving the wrong way down one way streets, pedestrians, animals, bicyclists...my buddy that works as a diesel mechanic at GMC in town said he would help me with it this summer.

Me neither. I didn't really want to go through changing the spiral cable without knowing 100% that it will solve the issue. But I will say that every time I drive through LA/OC makes we want my horn back more and more! :D

How good is the friend? lol 13,000 miles isn't much and those tires are what, $165 each? How about $100/tire? How long are they supposed to last? Maybe divide the mileage to get a percentage used based on expected mileage, and then discount the tires by that amount?

Call up Dal Pozzo and ask if they have any used tires in that size in stock, and ask for the price

I work with the guy so I have to see him pretty much everyday. I'm not trying to make a ton of cash but don't want to give them away.
