the "glass factory". The top of E. Camino Cielo in SB.

I haven't been in a few years. I didn't think it would be open after all the fires etc.

Yeah, it's always been a bit sketchy with people partying and being stupid. I used to go super early in the morning and just deal with the dense fog and no people.

So, it's my birthday next weekend, and I'm getting a day "off" from taking care of my one year old twins for the first time.

I'm thinking about do a loop - over Hwy 33, up the creek at Quatal Canyon, maybe some offshoots, checking out if anything is open at the top, and then heading towards the Mt. Pinos area, and seeing if anything is open there. After that, I want to head to Hungry Valley, run some trails and the practice area, and then head home. I'm hoping there will be snow starting in upper Quatal Canyon.

I'm not sure if I'll be going on the 3rd or the 4th. I'll leave around dawn, and plan to be back to Goleta around 5:00pm.

Anyone interested in coming? It should be fine for a stock truck, though if there's much snow, that probably won't be the case.

Man that’s exciting, I’ve been wanting to go +2 up front with a bypass and in the rear do a bypass and king bumps

No worries on that any more. I'm properly strapped and bumped now. (cause I'm sure that was the cause ) I'd really like to just be able to adjust my valving a little easier.

Hey there guys just a quick question for any Santa Barbara/Goleta guys. I have a 2013 Tacoma and stupidly burned a small spot on my bedside of clear coat off trying to remove a scratch. Do any of you guys have any recommendations for a body shop that’s any good? I had one quote so far but I think they are on the higher spectrum of estimates and at their price I’d just leave it or go get fiberglass bedsides. Just wanting to see if anyone had any recommendations on a decent body shop in our area?

Hmmm..sounds like an interesting loop. Let me see what I have going on that weekend. I am in Lompoc, so I would take HWY 166 and meet at HWY 33/Quatal Canyon.
    What comm system you using?

Well can’t be any worse than the precision auto body quote I had ($1500) which I thought was high although I’ve had quotes from them in the past higher than anywhere else. I’ll have to give him a shout and see what he thinks it may run me.

They wanted to remove the bedside from the truck so half the bill was labor to remove the bedside. I didn’t think it had to go that far.

Thanks for the tip though I’ll have my wife go over and see what damage I caused

    Sounds good.
I have a CB, and I also have two handheld Motorolas walkie talkies, if you don't have a radio.
