There was snow on Alamo mountain but none on the trail. Ima post a couple pics. Was pretty rough in a couple spots. Not for me of course. But for the guys i went with . the rain and wind exposed some new obstacles for sure. Only a couple dirt bikes on the trail. And a suv that was stuck at the entrance of lockwood creek. Luckily he was able to back out. We were ready for a full rollover recovery.

I second that. I had to winch up a section as I'm open/open. It's pretty remote, and pretty long.

Yeah the line you choose is everything. I bang up my sliders every time. But the pickup behind mine on 33s no sliders didn't get a scratch. Only really carnage was my driver front blinker. Smacked a rock.

I am looking to do the same with my spare! What all did you have to modify to fit it in the stock location?

Bang the supports with a big hammer, and it will fit a 33" tire

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office and other public safety officials have issued a 'Mandatory Evacuation Order' for the Thomas, Sherpa, and Whittier burn areas due to an approaching storm.

The 'Mandatory Evacuation Order' will become effective at 12 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018. For more evacuation information, click here. It's time to gather your belongings and leave immediately.

Residents in the evacuated area need to be out by 6 p.m. Thursday, officials say.

To view a map of areas at risk of a debris flow, click here. A map showing the communities currently under the Recommended Evacuation Warning is available for your viewing by clicking here.

The Red Cross has opened an Evacuation Center for residents threatened by this incoming storm at Earl Warren Showgrounds. More information here.

A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for areas of Santa Barbara County affected by the Thomas, Whittier, and Sherpa fires beginning at 9 p.m. Thursday to 9 a.m. Friday, March 2.

The current forecast from the National Weather Service indicates that the heaviest rainfall is now predicted to arrive around midnight Thursday and will continue for a 6-hour period into Friday. Total expected rainfall for this storm is one inch for the coastal areas and 1.5 to 3 inches for the foothills and mountains. Rain intensities are predicted to be between 0.33 inches and 0.5 inches per hour.

The communities near and below the Thomas, Sherpa and Whittier burn areas are strongly recommended to relocate to safer locations for their own safety. High risk for loss of life and property exists.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office says, “If at any time people feel threatened, take immediate action. Do not wait for a notification. Those with access and functional needs and those with large animals should leave.”

For more information on the risk please go to ReadySBC.org. Santa Barbara County residents are urged to register to receive emergency alerts.

County agencies, emergency officials, and the National Weather Service will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed.
