In SB NO, but I’ve used Ventura Radiator on Thompson Blvd next to U Haul (corner of Thompson and San Juan).
Currently live in Fillmore and use Miguel at Fillmore Auto Electric for all my needs. Can’t go wrong with him.

There's always big falls out towards lopez lake. thats a fun little cruise out with some creek crossings and a little hike at the end. Havent been in over 7-8 years so im not sure the water situation out there.
Try local little shops. I had my old tacoma get a hardline replaced and charged for 350.

Also, if anyone is interested my 97 is for sale. im asking 6800 on craigslist but thats due to getting rid of BS talkers/buyers.

@4WDTrout Try doing it yourself, you can rent the gauges and vacuum pump from any autozone, orileys, etc… I replaced my condenser and did everything at my garage. Btw, Freon doesn’t disappear, it goes somewhere. ;)

Not sure why. I’m new here. What did you have in mind? Were you planning on leading the group?

Just gather at the collections parking lot, some people said they were in but nothing happened, went a couple of times, parked there with the kiddo and the dog. And no one showed up but it’s all good it was nothing set in stone.

That’s disappointing. I would be there. Guess not many from 805? Or if there are, they want to do more than just meet in a parking lot and that’s understandable. But you gotta start somewhere. I’m curious to know, locally, where one can go exploring. Decades ago there wasn’t a question. Today not so much.

That was the goal, gather some people to plan a local trip. I’m not a local, I’m originally from imperial county/Baja therefore I don’t know the spots/trails, seems like everywhere I try to go there’s a gate. Heard about west camino cielo but i was told it was closed due to the accident.

West is open. There is a memorial for the guy near the site of the accident. I saw it after I went up and down the section where he probably rolled.
It takes a while to cross. Go check it out.
The next closest place is Rockfront Ranch. That's kind of pleasant too.

Should you try again? I don’t know how many of us are in the 805, but only takes a few to have fun!
