The top photo looks similar to the hill we drove up but, if I recall correctly...the hill we climbed was steeper.

My 2wd did it no problem. You should be fine it's nothing crazy. Just take it slow on blind turns.

There are several opportunities for climbing. These are just the ones I happened to have pics of.

Speaking of pics, I recently realized the opening scene of the movie Donny Darko was filmed on West Camino Cielo a couple miles before it turns to dirt by lizard's mouth.

Bottom pic was taken in the morning up there looking south toward Ventura.

Whatsup SoCal taco peeps! New to the forum. Have my 21 TRD OR oem wheels sitting in storage. TW won’t let me post to the for sale thread yet (not enough posts). Thought I’d ask anyone local first before I post in a week or so.

265/70/16 Goodyear’s, 1850 miles on tires, spare and lugs included, tpms was removed. Thousand Oaks area. $700

Thanks everyone, hope I see you all on the trails!

Looks similar but, I have a feeling that Donny Darko mountain scene is of another area.

Same road. If you watch the scene and know the area you will see it pans down onto the Goleta coast. The pic I posted is not intended to match the shot. I just happen to have that pic which I took around 2003. I was a couple miles away but looking the same direction. Also note the fog is different. Anyway, more of a point to enjoy than a hill to die on here lol.

The lightning came through Goleta around sunset, lots of neighbors were standing outside watching it like the 4th of years past. Last pic is looking up towards W Camino Cielo and Broadcast Peak.

It’s about dang time we got some weather. Hopefully we get more rain. As much as I like the visuals of the lightning...I’d prefer less due to fires. Anyone know where the suggestion box is located? :D

I removed all my raingutters last week, pretty sure that is equivalent to placing a high-priority request for rain in the queue. Still waiting for more though!

Any of you guys rebuild your own coilovers?

I’m thinking it might be time for me to do this and am not really wanting to ship them out of town and not be able to drive the truck for a week +

I've done a few and have a spring compressor in the garage, but am no way a pro. That being said, once the springs are off its pretty damn straight forward. I just don't have a tank with nitro. I have welding gas that can be used though. :)

I’d still like to get together sometime and swap a spring or 2 to check ride height.
Maybe in the next couple of months? Lol.
October got booked up pretty fast…

So, we could knock it out at your place?

Would using welding gas instead of nitro be an issue?

    Sounds good!

I can definitely help remove the springs for the rebuild but not sure when I'll have the time to help with the complete install. Next month or so is pretty packed. But your welcome to use the compressor any day you want if you want to knock out the rebuild yourself and just come over to pull them off and put them back in
