So, I have to swap out a CV Axle and am hoping to get it knocked out this weekend. I do not have all the tools or space to work on the truck unfortunately. Is anybody available, who is very familiar with the work it entails, able to help me get the job done?

There are some videos on YouTube that will help.
I think it takes a good smack to get the spring clip or whatever it is to cooperate.
I don't think it's terribly difficult. Just remove what's in the way?

So, after taking the truck off-road recently, I noticed that there is a lot of play/movement in the steering when I go over bumps. Anyone have ideas where I could start troubleshooting? Steering rack perhaps?

    Thought I’d ask here first...

Check your intermediate steering shaft. Mine was making noise and had lots of play. The rubber got loose and the plastic bushing came out eventually (the green ring).

Hi 805, I'm looking for a mostly stock 1st gen long bed to do some design work on.
I'd need to get a 3d scan of your bed and I'd be willing to give you a free sleeping platform in return once the design is complete.

    PM me if you're interested!

    Best,
    Ben
