Anyone have a line on 2nd Gen bed stiffeners they're looking to get rid of?

 

Not sure if he still has them but @Willy Lump Lump had some victory 4x4 stiffeners for sale I believe they are 2nd/3rd gen compatible. Heres the post from the marketplace

There used to be a guy, based out of San Diego I think, that provided LED interior replacement lights for our trucks but I can't seem to find him. Anyone know if he's still around or if there's a new TW person that supplies those?

You got it Chris. I talked to some of those guys recently. I’m pretty sure he’s still doing the swaps but not on TW as much these days.

 

I've been knee deep in house projects for the last 1.5 years that all my truck work started piling up. Finally able to start getting around to stuff and I'm realizing a lot of the old TW contacts from way back are gone. Hopefully all is well with you! You still doing truck stuff on the side?

 

Doing good! Thanks for asking. I still work on trucks here and there. Been super busy with the day job so I haven’t hustled the side hustle like I used to, but I have enough traffic via word of mouth to stay current.

Funny you mention about the older members not being around - there really has been a shift in the past few years, but that’s how these things go I suppose. I actually talked to Matt today (@SixthSnail) and notice that he hadn’t been on since 2022. I still keep in touch with a few people I’ve met here and he’s one of them.

 

After I rolled previous truck a new build took way too long, cough 8 cough years cough… I stepped away pretty much and would check in seldomly. Once back in game got active and soooo many of the familiar faces were gone or not active. I myself am guilty of using IG more, no replacement for the knowledge in forums. I even pull up TTORA from time to time too. Back when this thread was very active and we would do runs for stock to wild very often!!! BBQ beach meets up etc…

I remember being active on TTORA years ago before I came to TW. It had way less fluff and was a good forum. I have thoroughly enjoyed TW over the years though. I’ve met some solid people from the forum and am open meet others(and be envious of their trucks). Maybe an 805 BBQ MeetUp is in order after the holidays. I’d be nice to shoot the breeze over a cold one with you all. Is anyone interested?

 

Agreed I have made some friends and meet cool people from TW! Most have since moved on as life takes over! TTORA is a 1st gen Tacoma glory hole of info!!! Site is still up but very very slow as far posts/interactions.

I am very down for BBQ meet up! I was trying to get some peeps together to do a coffee and cars TW takeover lol but no one bit…
y truck is built but I have no problem doing runs with stock 2wd guys with little to no experience, those runs are fun to take my kids. Oh and give rides so people ruin their life financially after thinking they NEED a built

 

Apologies if this has been answered. But I'm in need of a fair, honest mechanic in Ventura. I have a very high mileage Tacoma that I would like to keep running so I need to know everything I need to keep the truck happy. wont name names, but I've been to other shops that are quick to quote ridiculous numbers. Looking for someone honest I can build with and recommend to friends and family.

 

Not Ventura, but @Speed Freek is just a bit south of you. He has helped plenty of members, myself included, and does great work. If you want it done right, I would hit him up
