Yeah $150 is what i took from him. He said he wanted to downgrade for mileage purposes but yeah usually people gear up lol

I would say look into the Detroit True Trac, thats what i have but its more of an LSD. I went with that after mine burnt out because its clutchless and works a little better than the stock LSD. Don't go with those lockers that are always engaged, you will eat up your rear tires since its a DD  I would only go with those if it was just an offroad truck.

i had a lockrite in my first runner...never bothered me..you could hear it tick tick tick around corners and every once in a while it would grab and get a little bucky but after you learn how to drive with it its no big deal..my buddy had one in his automatic and he could never get it to buck so that was probably a manual thing.for the 250 i spent on it i was more than happy and plan on getting another one once i build the shit out of devins old axle(my new axle)...i personally have seen too many air locker systems fail because of old seals or a failed compressor...i like the fact that the lockrite or aussie lockers are 100% mechanical and if i had a spare i could swap it out in a hour on the trail if something was to happen. my 2 cents for what its worth.

i havent on a truck but i have a few utility vehicles and tractors with a cable or rod to engage/disengage the locker and they have always been reliable and solid. i like the idea of it being mechanical and not air...seems pretty solid to me

the speed bumps at the mall are exactly why i need it. those fuckers are huge and my tires rub the bump cans when i mob over those like a boss.

the 456's were the only reason i wanted devin's axle, but honestly i'm so over spending money on my truck right now.

    ^Truth!
Guy blew an airline on the trail behind me two weekends ago...and had no repair kit. He had the misfortune of letting 4WP install his air locker and they ran the air line 3 inches from his exhaust. Needless to say the when the cat got hot, it melted the plastic sleeve and the airline and pissed air all over the place and he was running open-open the rest of the day.

Honestly I'm far from happy with the factory toyota e-locker. The thing is as temperamental as a menstruating 30 year old on a diet who just quit smoking. I think selectable lockers are great for the front diff, but honestly wouldn't mind a mechanical locker in the rear.

    Don't you have 4.88's?
