the weight of the battery on your front end will start ripping your front sub frame off the cab sooner or later..i bet if you go take a peek you will find areas that are starting to do just that..my reasons to move the battery/batteries to the rear..keep the front from peeling off the cab and distribute some weight to the rear of the truck... my reasons why i run dual batteries if i get shit faced while camping and leave my radio on its cool lol, if someone im doing a run with has battery issues i can loan a battery and get them back to the road/camp and also if your alternator goes out you have twice the amount of run time to either get home or back to camp...im using all of these examples cause they have all happened to me

i just bought 2 D35's from optima. so that's the route i will be going. so both are brand new....so were good. might as well run both if i have both. i guess 2 is better than one sometimes. depending on the situation. well...adam that box wont work..so lets see if the single one will fit for theses batteries as well, and from their we will go with something.

did you go check the taco to see if your front end is ripping off the cab? mine was...and i destroyed 3 batteries due to the pos Toyota battery mount failing on me ...that thin sheet metal just couldn't handle the dangler i guess

hard to see on my phone but i suppose it would yes.. i think the biggest benefit is the weight distribution..helping that front end from diving is well worth it for me...there is a reason almost all prerunners and race trucks have the batteries in the rear

Yeah the seam is starting to split on the core support. I drilled and spot welded to hold it over. Battery reroute is on the list.

I made a Frankenstein mount that has 3 mounting points to help out. Shitty pic but this kinda shows it.

Yeah, Mike @ Defined built them for his truck and am thinking of getting some for my front-end as relocating the battery to the rear isn't really an option for me right now.
