Bought a 2000 celica gt today. Finally got something to get to work in when the truck breaks. Pretty happy 28 mpg avg!

it's good to hear you watched G4. most people don't even know what it is or they don't have the channel in their cable line up.

it's sad to see it go away :(

I lost pretty close to 4 gallons of gas today due to a fuel line that refuses to stay in. My hands smell like gas, I was stuck in a cvs parking lot for 45 mins, then got home and had to drop a friend off and got stuck on foothill road for another hour with a dead phone, no light and a ton of zip ties. I finally go smart and connected a bunch Of zip ties together and wrapped them around the tank and over the line that keeps flying out. Finally home and drinking a beer

Ive found once you get the hang of it a grinder is faster than a notcher. You can also use a chop saw if you have one, I can't rember where I saw the chart for angles but a quick google search and found this on pirate4x4

I used a notcher for the first time when I did the wrap around tube on my tire carrier over at Eric's. I will never use the grinder method ever again.

I like using the chop saw over the grinder honestly but I think all 3 have their place. Notching in a bend is going to be much harder on a chop saw than it would be in a notcher. I am sure he has a pretty nice one too ;) The shop my nephew works at uses the belt sander type notchers, those are nice

Oh I'm sure, Ive only done pretty simple angles and no bends. Anything complex I am sure a notcher is better

Let me rephrase, I will never use the grinder or chopsaw method ever again.
Funny thing is, Eric doesn't have anything special. In fact its very garage-fab-ish. I forgot the brand, but it just drops into a bench vise. Couldn't have been more than a couple hundred bucks.

Well my next adventure is going to be a ton of notching so I'm open to anything that make things easier :)
