Anyone here know where I can get a flag whip? I wanna head out there either tomorrow or tuesday. Take the gal and the "father in law" out.

any quad shop/gas station in the area should carry them. as for attaching them, zip ties or electrical tape tend to work best

Let's say I'm right by Splash Cafe...where would I go from there? I plan to head out in the morning, mount that sucker on, and get out on the sand.

take highway 1 south until you reach Grover beach and then turn right onto pier ave (pass grand ave and youll see a restaurant called Old Juans Cantina, turn right at the light) Go down maybe a quarter mile and youll see some quad rental shops along with a liquor store. Head into any place and get yourself a flag. the liquor store usually has the cheapest flags... fyi.

To attach the flag just put it in between the tailgate and bedside

Not bad, if it's not to beat on... The 5sp 4x 3.4 is just harder to find they made way more autos.

Its pretty much a weekend/toy truck. One thing nice about buying modded is you save a lot on the mods usually.

not bad. my friend cole has a 99 which WAS 4x4 and now 2wd. its a manual as well and to be honest, its a fun truck to drive. Id love to have a first gen just like that to daily drive (minus bumper)

also its got 265k miles so i think the life of that truck will be just fine :p

Doesn't look bad at all... if it was more build i'd be more hesitant to see the welds and stuff.. but its all bolt on, just uppers shocks and fenders. not really a ton you can screw up there, and its easy to see if everything is in spec.
frame bending could be a concern but he'd really have to beat on it... probably faster than a stock rear end could get you going. i'd be more concerned about the 4x4 stuff being in good order, such as the front diff and everything else
