I'll air down more when I get out there later. So I can go where I'm seeing the ATV's going? How will I know when I'm on Sand Highway?

You can go any where there's not a fence. And just follow the poles

air down to 12 front and 10 rear. Also when you first reached the ATV places, you notice a telephone pole that had a black 2 on it with an orange background? those are mile markers on the beach. Get to number 4 and youll see a brown sign of your left that says "sand highway". So turn left and keep going further into the dunes. After about 80 yards youll start seeing smaller poles maybe 5 feet out of the ground with numbers starting at 10.. if you follow those you should be fine for the most part. Those numbers go all the way out to 25.

and where "huckfest" is held, its right between poles 21 and 22 and if youre facing the ocean, its the big dune in front of you.

If anything ill try and head out sunday and show you around for a bit. i know that place like the back of my hand.
    lol

Grabbed my truck by the...steering wheel...and hit the dunes. Made it out to the 14th marker before turning around. Is it always that bumpy? I'm planning on going out again either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

nice happy to hear you make it out there!! Its normally rough like that after a weekend. It takes till about thursday afternoon and by that time the wind makes everything flat and smooth (usually) . Those are the best times to go :)

So I got my exhaust crossover rerouted, by economy muffler and now it has a slight vibration when idling while cold. Live with it or take it back?

Been a while since ive been on here. Sold the truck, got a 4runner, sold that because I just got a job in susanville ca on an engine and have to have a truck to move so i got a dodge ram.

Has anyone seen my old truck on the forums or around town? The guy i sold it too sold it to someone else after pouring 4k into it in 2 months.

Just wondering if you guys know of any good camping nearby where I can do some fishing...off the beaten path is preferable, but any suggestions are appreciated. Stationed over here at the Naval Base in Port Hueneme....Been to Pismo and Mojave desert a lot for the quad and dirt bike riding, just want to do some exploring and fishing now.

Edit: forgot I had this on my phone already.

Take it back and see if they can put it higher. Just in case you wanna throw a skid back there later on. And I don't think you need that little bracket on the crossmember.

Guess I will have to then, because eventually I will get skids down there. Super annoying to find the time in business hours to go drop the truck off, I wonder if the guy will try to charge me again.

Kern River Valley is a great place to not only fish but hike and 4 wheel. Rancheria Rd off Hwy 178 into Lake Isabella is a moderate to easy rated trail, more like a fire road. Then some great places up above Kernville provide some great scenery- hiking, camping, fishing, backpacking. If you ever get a few days off, drive out there, take Sherman Pass Rd from Kernville over to the 395. Tons of camping, some difficult OHV trails (Sherman Pass 4x4 road is rated black diamond), Monache Meadows (great primitive camping and really good fishing I hear). Such a fun area to explore. Only about 3-3.5 hours from Ventura/SB. Big Bear Valley has a lot of high mountain stuff. Old mines, hiking, 4 wheeling, camping, fishing but a bit further of a drive (4-5 hours). And of course, the Eastern Sierras are a playground for anyone outdoorsy!
