Cross posting from build thread / AZBS thread, I finally got this installed! No real glamour shots just yet, need better lighting and a few very small details fixed... also this material really does not cooperate with the tailgate letters!

It's really amazing how just that hood bit really makes the front end look completely different, like I have aftermarket fenders or something.

It's damn close to BBP too, I don't think I could tell the difference even if we parked a BBP truck next to it:

80s inspired with the chrome wheels. Nothing too crazy though.

Do you have any more pictures of this truck? Any info on the set up? I love the look!

    They’re standard chrome “wagon wheels”
They are usually 15 or 16 inch and sell on kegs, summit, and every other wheel places has generics of them

I like that old school Toyota emblem.

Does your tailgate not have the “Tacoma” stamp on it? I’m now wishing mine didn’t, and wondering why yours doesn’t?

Good thread. I actually always really wanted an 80's or early 90's Toyota SR5 pickup, back when SR5 was top dog. I am a little disappointed I couldn't get an SR5 with an MT because I wanted the emblem. I had a 1970 F250 highboy and really liked the size and ease of a Toyota. I have it now. Last old school truck. My period influences are MT, sheepskin seat covers (real ones with seams), brown leather door panels, black door handles and OWL tires. Only thing missing for me at this point are a different bumper (thinking SSO with push bar) and manual hubs..hopefully they will be available again soon.

It does not. I was in Upper Muley Twist Canyon in Capitol Reef NP a year ago, and while turning around, I backed about 1" too far into a tree branch which was sticking straight out toward the truck (I never saw it). The end result was "time to get a new tailgate." I found a guy on eBay who sells the metal part of the tailgate, pre-painted your color and new for around 500$. Since it wasn't a genuine Toyota part, he couldn't emboss "Tacoma." I also had to purchase the plastic which runs along the top of the tailgate (~60$). I finished the job for under 700$ (aka Stupid Tax). OEM would have been thousands.
