Love the square bodies. Bro, I had one of these as my first truck. Got two more in my adult life. Unfortunately I had to sell them all, life happened.

great build, beautiful truck.. I wish I could drive it with the L33.

    Thanks for sharing

Thanks! It was my first truck also. I can’t wait to feel the new motor and never mess with a carb again. They are getting crazy expensive, I picked mine up for 3300 bucks back in the day and it was everything I could do to afford it.

4l60e to np208 adapter with a built in vss and reluctor ring retrofit so the tranny knows when to shift.

The stock 06 gets its speed sensor input from the np246 tcase that I won’t be able to use for to its drivers side drop front driveline. This puts the speed sensor and 40 tooth reluctor ring on the output shaft of the transmission so the ecu knows when to shift.

I can’t believe the interest I’ve gotten in parting out this truck. I’ve already paid off the 500$ for the truck and $200 for gas. Now the moneys going to more ls parts!

Just got our tax info back and we owe over 6k so taking a break on buying parts for a month or so. But I started working on the square tonight. Torque converter is unbolted, drivelines removed, tcase is unbolted besides 1 bolt, trans-engine is unbolted besides 1 bolt. Exhaust is unhooked. Everything came apart really well I haven’t touched much of the motor and trans since back in 2012. Probably going to start working on getting the wiring unhooked tomorrow and draining fluids. Should be able to get the motor ready to pull. Selling lots of parts off of the 06. Got people buying stuff multiple days a week.

Anyone in Washington need a low mileage 305 and a perfectly good working 700r4? Motor could use a hone and ring and some better heads.

Dropped the tcase out of the 84 last night and got it mates up to the 4l60e temporarily to make sure the adapter is correct and the spline count is the same.

Going to clean it up real good tonight and hopefully drop the 700r4 out of the 84.

Nothing to awesome but got some fender mats so I’m not beating up the paint to bad during the swap. Also got some gear wrench socket adapters.
