Got the gas tank drained and dropped out of the truck. Fuel pump is mounted and wired into the sending unit. I need to order up a new filler neck hose as the one I have is all cracked and doesn’t look like it has much life left in it.

Sold the 305 and 700r4. Garage is finally clearing up a bit. Also started building a storage shed out back so I can get all my carpentry tools, hunting gear, camping gear, and dirt bikes out of the garage and organized. Got a new bike also!

Ordered up a radiator kit from cold case to plumb the ls all nice and neat like in the engine bay. Also bit the bullet and ordered a standalone harness from bp automotive so I don’t have to mess with reworking a almost 20 year mess of wires. Hoping the motor will be back from the machine shop this week.

Installed all new hoses and fuel lines on the truck today and flushed the baffled 87 tank. I have one more AN fitting to install on the fuel rail once the engine is in. Pressure tested it real quick and it was good to go. I need to do a better pressure test before I get the drivetrain back in the way.

Garden shed is almost done! Pretty soon my garage will be cleaned out and easy to finish the swap in.

Shipped the ecu off today to get it unlocked and a base tune done to it.
Also built a bracket to mount the fuel vent to in place of the charcoal canister. The front diff vents to about the same location so I ordered up another one of the stainless fuel vents and will put them both in the same spot instead of using the crusty old diff breather that was there.

Ordered up a gas pedal relocation mount to adapt the 06 Drive by Wire pedal into the factory bolt holes of the 84. Was worth spending the $50 for the bracket over trying to fabricate my own up.

Dbw pedal installed tonight. Had to shim it a little bit to get it closer to where I wanted. Not bad for $50 though.

I like it so far. Can only really comment on looks and first impression quality. I’ve just got it mocked up right now. Still waiting on my motor.

Went to Hawaii and came home to a bunch of new parts. Radiator, tuned pcm, two pole brake switch, and injector adapters. Good week!

Rad cap cover on. Made some mounts out of aluminum to hold the top of the radiator in place. Had to carve out the lower rubber mounts to get them to work.

Got the ecu mounted up behind the glove box inside the cab. Also ran the engine harness out the firewall. Still waiting on the engine to get assembled before I get to crazy but trying to get all the little time consuming stuff done.

Got a spare motor so I can start mocking up crossmembers, drivelines, and exhaust.
