84 K10 L33 Swap

My brother’s dream is do a square body k10 single cab long bed.

Myself, I want to do a 96-98 k1500 OBS single cab short bed on 33s maybe ditch the 5.7 for a 383 or an iron 6.0. Definitely the first thing it would need is the 14 bolt swap in the rear…that baby rear axle was a joke on the 1500s

 

That would be sweet! Better snatch one up now while they are relatively cheap. Squarebody prices are going through the roof Asha I’m sure obs is soon to follow. I’ve got the axle out of the 06 still there I plan on putting under the truck eventually but want to get it on the road and driving first. It’s been a year since I’ve gotten to drive the poor old thing.

 

Absolutely, there definitely is something about having had one for a long time like yourself though…I often feel like buying one without a story would be boring

by the progress you’re making, i believe you’ll be on the road in no time!

Want to do a street tune on the truck to get most power and mpgs out of the old girl but I’ve been driving it all over the place!

 

Truck is tuned and ready to run! Drive it to work this morning and it did really good. 45 minute drive with highway and freeway and a little bit of town driving. Tuner said it could use a little more injector at the higher rpms so might try to do that along with some lower gears this winter. For now just going to drive it and enjoy it!
